Standing With Aleppo

December 15, 2016

Please, let us give the children of Syria a future. We cannot allow the survivors to grow up and listen to how we failed them and their country. … More Standing With Aleppo

Travelling solo is the most empowering thing I’ve done and I want as many women as possible to experience the same! 💪 There will always be people who say it’s not safe for women but the truth is danger can be around the corner in your hometown too. Don’t let other people’s perceptions of the world hold you back. Travelling solo doesn’t mean throwing all caution to the wind. You can do it whilst still looking out for yourself! #womenwhoexplore #sheisnotlost #wearetravelgirls #dametraveler If you visited Thailand and didn’t ride a tuk tuk, did you even go? 👀🛺 I always used to feel hard done by if I got a cloudy day on a photography trip, especially when I’d flown thousands of miles and was only there for a week max, arghh. Where are my blue skies?! ☁️☀️I think I got better rolling with it on my trip last year though. Still trying to work out my shooting and editing style for cloudy days. Trying to remind myself it’s good to be pushed outside your comfort zone every now and then 🙌 Back to Wat Pho for today’s photo! And yes the sky really was that blue ☀️😎 So welcome after days of crazy wind and torrential Bangkok rain! 💨☔️ (Check out my Stories for a candid accidental selfie taken on one of those days 😂) So busy and colourful - sums up Bangkok’s Chinatown! Food smells, heat, so much noise… Hands down my favourite part of Bangkok 😍🇹🇭 More temple snaps! Also called Wat Pho, this is one of Bangkok’s oldest temples and home to the famously big Reclining Buddha statue. The temple was originally built in late 1600s but was renovated in the late 1700s by order of King Rama I and that’s the version we see today. I love learning local history on my travels! 🤓
